You know you're loved when...

...you leave home at 6.30am on Saturday for a day visit to a camp with the girls and arrive home 12 hours later....to a nice cooked dinner and a new DVD I wanted to see, but didn't want to buy... (Twilight)

...your husband not only buys you the girly DVD but watches it with you!

...you drop your earring down the sink and he gets out of bed to find it for you... when he'd rather be sleeping...

...he makes enough coffee for you without asking if you want any....because you usually do :p

...he pushes you to use the phone when you'd rather not...just to make you more confident

...he helps you write a top cover letter for a job application, then sits in bed editing it when again, he'd rather be sleeping

...he's proud when you get an interview, and after you are told you are what they want, except for one character aspect...which they want to help build on....

...he handles PMS well...

He loves you for who you are, and encourages you to be who you can be :)

Love You David!!!!!!!!

Guys and Cars...

This morning on the radio they discussed the topic of guys trying to impress girls with their cars...the conclusion was that a guy should save the money he'd spend on a fancy car and spend it on the girl instead...because she doesn't want the car; she wants the family man.

It got me thinking... when my husband and I first met, we had the same car!
The only difference was his was about 2yrs newer and the sporty model. Mine was the Luxury model...and even though both were hatches, neither of our "hatch latches" worked so we were required to use the key to open the hatch.

Then we both got rid of our cars before they died... I bought a newer model of the same car (with a working latch and many other cool things), and he bought the "chick magnet" - but he already had me! Hehehe!

Gotta go. Just some thoughts for the day...

New shoes

I just thought I'd let the world know I have some cute new purple heels! I was in Doncaster looking for some shoes and ended up with these...not what I planned to get! David came and said they looked good and encouraged me to buy them...so I did! haha!
I had no shoes to wear with skirts so I was feeling desperate...still looking for a comfy stylish pair...but it's taken me all this season so far to find nothing that fits BOTH my feet!

No photos... my laptop is lacking memory :(

Story of the Two Frogs

Two young frogs fell into a bucket of milk. Both tried to jump to freedom, but the sides of the bucket were steep and no foundation was to be had on the surface of the liquid.

Seeing little chance of escape, the first frog soon despaired and stopped jumping. After a short while he sunk to the bottom of the bucket and drowned.

The second frog also saw no likelihood of success, but he never stopped trying. Even though each jump seemed to reach the same inadequate height, he kept on struggling. Eventually, his persistent efforts churned some milk into butter. From the now hardened surface of the milk, he managed to leap out of the bucket.

The moral of this little inspiring story:

–Those who don’t give up and persevere may be in for a pleasant surprise! –
– Energy is often rewarded with success from unexpected sources. –

Jumping out

Wow...3 months have passed...this has definitely been a year of change!
So much to write, so little time to to WRITE it... life is busy, but that's not such a bad thing...unless you realise your priorities need to change and you're running yourself down again...

I have had a good year, health-wise, but every so often, like this week, I wear myself out ...to the point I haven't been to the gym in a week... I've learned there's no point in working out when you're already worn out...

Life is good, but I do need to cut out a few commitments...
I'm at a point where I feel like the frog in that story about being stuck in a bucket. The frog can't jump out because the bucket is too high, but it's uncomfortable being stuck in the milk in the bucket....so instead of feeling sorry for itself and dying in the milk, it starts swimming...and eventually churns up the milk to make cream....and jumps out of the bucket.

I'm at the "churning" point. I'm not happy being in the bucket, but whether or not I jump out now, or later, I AM going to jump out!
I've been in this bucket for a long time, and tried to jump out many times, but God has kept me there, and I've learned a lot, gained skills...but it's not the bucket of my life. It's the bucket for the season.

Ok, it's the end of a week, and the beginning of a long weekend! I am going to catch up on sleep I've missed out on this week...being stressed by a deadline and having to write an application in a short amount of time...but I've done it! That is the first point of jumping out of the bucket. It could be the key to the jump, or a stepping stone forward, but it's still MOVING.

That's what my theme is at the moment.... "Moving" - big or little, as long as it's something, I'm moving forward:)

I will try to blog more often...
