Perceptions of Angels

Recently, I was browsing through a store, when I came across this car ornament - a bobble-head angel. Most people would probably think, "Oh, how cute!" Not me... I thought, "That's ridiculous!" 🀣 Yes, it does look cute, however for me, as a prophetic intercessor... it just felt wrong! The thought of an angel just "sitting pretty", hands folded in prayer felt ridiculous... because in my world, angels are not simply pretty. The angels in my world are always active! They don't have time to be cute and pretty.

In my world, I often sense their presence. Sometimes it's simply a feeling, other times I see a shape or shadow. Occasionally I see a physical manifestation, such as a flash of light under a door, or feathers drop around me. I am aware that angels are always around me.

If they are ever sitting quietly, they are still on alert. They may be waiting for an assignment or a marching order, or they may be watching as protectors, but they are never idle.

I see them on my car when I'm driving, waiting at the gate to greet me at work, and around others. I see them dancing during church worship. Last week, during the Seers & Dreamers Gathering (SDG), I saw some sitting on a platform, above the worship team, swinging their legs joyfully, participating in the worship.

Also at the SDG, while we were preparing for the Prophetic Appointments, our team was in a circle, worshiping, and I saw an angel draw oil from a well in the centre of the room. It drew one cup for every person, and individually poured the cup of oil over our heads. It was beautiful. What came after that, during the prophetic time was simply amazing and beautiful. God had so much to say to His precious children, and it was an honour to be part of the team giving to others.

To me, if not already active, angels are always waiting for their next order/assignment. They need our prayers to set them in motion. When we pray to God (never to an angel!), He gives the orders and gets them moving. It is not our job to speak to angels. We can acknowlege them, but we are not to enter that spirit realm of interacting with them (eg, meditation, astro travel). Instead, we are to speak to, and worship God (Revelation 22:9).

Examples of active angels I have sensed, or prayed for God to activate, are Warring angels, Ministering angels, and Healing angels. As a prophetic intercessor, life is never boring! There are always spiritual battles to deal with, and often the angels take charge of the fighting. My prayers set them to action, but I don't give the orders - God does. Ministering angels are the peace bringers- when somebody is unwell, struggling, or even dying, we pray for God to send His Ministering angels to bring comfort and peace. Healing angels work in a similar manner.

A few years ago, I had a car accident. While I was sitting stationary at a red light, I was hit from behind by a cement truck (empty of cement 😌) at 60 km per hour. The driver was not paying attention. There were other cars stopped in front of me. No other cars were hit....the only logical explanation for that...was there was no logical explanation! It was clear an angel had intervened as a buffer between my car and the one in front. Logically, my car should have been pushed into the car in front. The impact pushed my car forward, but hit nothing. We only experienced minor injuries, but lost the car. Protecting angels were on assignment that day! I was upset about my car, but cars can be replaced. I was in awe of the protection we experienced!

As you can see, my experience with angels is not represented by that cute bobble-head. If you haven't experienced the reality of angels, I pray God opens your spiritual eyes... they are not to be feared, but bring a sense of peace and joy.

On a final note, always test the spirits. If you feel uneasy, it's probably not an angel, but a demon pretending to be an angel.

If you have been engaging with 'angels'- eg speaking with your "guardian angel" through meditation, or used things such as Tarot cards, etc, I pray your eyes are opened to the dangers of this. I also highly recommend googling Kristine McGuire and hearing/reading her testimony. She is a former medium who engaged in these spiritual activities & explains the impact, enticement and how demons work through these practices (and how to stop it). She is now a prophetic intercessor.

Be blessed! πŸ¦‹©️

1 John 4: Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into ΔΊthe world. but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.

My Nonna

This month, as I am again reminded of Cherry Blossoms... almost 1 year since my Nonna's passing, I would like to honour her and tell you about this amazing woman I called Nonna. (Although Cherry Blossoms remind me of Nonna, she was always surrounded by Deep Pink Geraniums).

Nonna was a young bride-to-be who, in the early 1950s, travelled on a ship from Northern Italy (Giavara) to Melbourne, Australia. My Nonno migrated a year earlier and set up a life here, in preparation of the arrival of his future bride. They were married a day after her arrival. Nonna was a seamstress, so made her own wedding dress. Unfortunately, her dress was sent on a different ship, and did not arrive in time - so she borrowed a dress. To this day, (to my knowledge) her wedding dress has not been worn. My sister and I often wore dresses made by Nonna.

My Nonna and Nonno (Nonni) were devout catholics. They brought up 10 children. My mum was the first child, and I was the 2nd grandchild. I grew up when my Nonni ran, and lived in a corner milk bar in the western suburbs. I have great childhood memories of this time... often visiting when the shop was filled with children from the catholic school across the road.

I remember seeing freshly made spaghetti drying/hanging along the hallway, in a straight line, on broom handles. I also remember using their "Outhouse", which was dark, and I always hoped I didn't see spiders. I remember when they renovated their bathroom to include a toilet. We were all excited!

Our family gatherings (Christmas, Easter, Mothers/Fathers Day, etc) were often in the large lounge, or even in the actual shop front. As the family grew, they had long tables in the garage. I remember, one Christmas Day, sitting at tables in the shop front- a man kept tapping on the window because he needed milk!

Nonna took pride in her cooking, and catering for her large family. Nobody made roast chicken maryland or potatoes like her! We loved being chosen to go to the shop fridge and pick out a soft drink (soda). My 2 siblings & I always chose sarsaparilla- to many adults' disgust! Haha!

A family favourite was her Tuna Pasta- often cooked for individual visits, and ALWAYS enough to take some home.

My Nonni retired & moved to Queensland for a few years, then returned close to Melbourne. This time, in the outer suburbs. The 2nd generation of grandchildren only know this part of their lives. We of the 1st generation remember our Nonno being stressed due to his business, while the 2nd generation only knew a more relaxed, retired Nonno.

Family lunches always began with mushroom risotto & ravioli in brodo (broth). A while later, a feast was set, including roast chicken maryland, roast potatoes, various vegetables & salads...and her precious stuffed mushrooms ,(which I didn't eat!). Then... desserts, including her famous Tiramisu, fruit & other sweets... and then...coffee. Oh, and her paper thin crostoli! My favourite. She would often make it just because she knew I loved it. Nobody, apart from my brother makes crostoli like Nonna!

Growing up, we took all of this for granted. Now she's gone, the memories are truly precious.

Nonna's faith was strong, like her personality. She was devout and stubborn. We often did not agree on faith - as my parents left the catholic church and brought us up protestant. My Nonno was more accepting- he would point his finger to heaven & say to me, "I see God looks after you". Despite these differences, I know Nonna loved me dearly. She quietly had my back in life's circumstances.

From an Intercessor's perspective, Nonna was a hard egg to crack! I spent 30+ years praying for her! As I grew older, and my intercession and prophetic gifts became stronger, the burdens to pray increased. God often showed me images of her as a child sitting in His lap. He consistently showed me He had her. It didn't look that way, but I trusted Him. While she was praying I would see the light, I was declaring her salvation. The enemy knew me well, and he had no problem letting me know. Neither did I have a problem activating my spiritual authority.

A few months before she contracted covid, God showed me a picture of a glass jug. It was full of little papers, like you would place in a Thankfulness Jar. It represented all the prayers from everybody who had been praying for her over the decades. He then said, "I have all need. Now watch me work!" I can't explain how my spirit felt by those words... it was a promise and a challenge- to let go and let God.

Fast forward to June 26, 2022. That night I had arranged with my parents to visit Nonna in palliative care, the following morning. I had the urge to search Youtube for Italian worship music, to play during our visit. As I listened, my spirit stirred. Something big was happening, and I just couldn't stop streaming these powerful worship songs. My spirit wanted to  keep going, but my mind told me to go to bed, because I needed to get up early.

God reminded me of another vision - the rock with dripping water. It appeared the water (prayers) would not affect the rock, but over time, the persistent dripping would eventually corrode/break down the rock. That night, God showed me the rock broken in half! What an amazing vision to go to sleep with.

Well, June 27th 2022 was the day my Nonna went to be with Jesus. She was 97 years old! I had such a peaceful sleep that night.... and awoke to a text message with the news she had passed away in the early hours of the morning. My plans to visit were cancelled. Although I was sad I didn't get to see her, I also realised that God had used me the night before. The battle had finally been won! I felt peace in knowing I had done far more for her, spiritually than I could have done physically. The peace was deep, supernatural peace.

I must acknowledge there were a few other family members who also engaged in the battle for her soul. It was a team effort. We had our individual assignments. I can only share my own experiences. I do know, during the funeral, we, the intercessors all shared that same, supernatural peace.

After 30+ years' of warfare intercession, the assignment was over. The burden was lifted. I truly believe she is with Jesus.

I want to encourage those who feel like their prayers are getting nowhere. Before asking if there's any point in continuing to pray... this  war for one soul lasted many decades. But in  the end... God's will prevailed. Don't give up! If God gives you a burden, He has the answer! πŸ¦‹

Faith Hope Love

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13.

This has been an unexpected season! I began the year with a renewed hope, and the word, "Fresh". As the weeks progressed, I found myself on a path, where I was asking, "Huh?" "How did I get here?", "WHY am I here again?" "I thought this path ended". "Why has life been so tough, contending for what others take for granted?"

Throughout this season, of these I am sure: God knew. God knows. God has great plans for me.

I don't know what the rest of this year holds. All I know is I have faith. I am loved. I refuse to give up hope.

During this season, God has lavished me with His love. I've always felt His love, but this year has brought a new, deeper level. I have friends who have held me up in prayer, and I have felt that supernatural covering so strongly. I'm travelling a familar, yet also unfamilar journey. Those who travelled with me in the past, remain in the past. God has orchestrated a new group of faith filled people (again, with some unexpectedly familar friends) to travel this current journey with me. Seriously, I did not see this coming, but I feel extremely blessed. It's another way of God showing me how much He loves me.

The photo is of my new necklace. I love this necklace... I wear it to work, and when I see myself in the mirror, I am reminded of the faith of a mustard seed. Sometimes the simple things can bring the most joy. My faith, at times has felt like a mustard seed, but that is enough to move a mountain! So, with my mustard seed, and my friends' faith & prayer covering, I believe we will move this mountain. (Check out Faithbracelet.co They currently have a BOGO Sale!)

When I am asked how I'm going, I can honestly say that I feel peace, as if I'm sitting calmly in a dinghy, in the middle of a stormy ocean. I have  no oars, just my mustard seed. I don't understand why the waves are crashing so fiercely, I just understand that God loves me enough to give me peace....faith, hope, and so much love.

If you are travelling this journey with me, I appreciate every single prayer and act of love. I am truly blessed to have you in my life right now. πŸ¦‹

Prophetic Encouragement - Don't limit God

During the last few months, I've found myself questioning my discernments for others, simply because God has given me the same vision/message for multiple people. The first time I shared the picture, the feedback was positive. I was encouraged that I'd "hit the mark". The second time, I felt less confident, because the picture was not 'fresh', but I chose to step out in faith and share it anyway. I've learned that my visions are usually spot on or resonate with those I've shared with.

Well, as with the first share, the second person also confirmed that my vision for them had "hit the mark". This has happened multiple times.

God doesn't care how many times He uses the same vision or image to speak to people.

We all read the same bible, yet find different words or sentences resonate with us individually, and also during different seasons. We could read the same bible verse one hundred times, and each time, receive a new insight, or different perspective.

A further example is the above picture of Cherry Blossoms. You could tell me what this picture means to you, and it will be specific to you and what your heart needs to hear. To me, that picture is a reminder of God's love and hope. The circle of life. God continued to show me visions of Cherry Blossoms last June- when my 97 year old Nonna (grandma) was in palliative care, after contracting Covid. I'd spent decades praying for her salvation. It felt like an uphill battle, but I, and a few other family members persisted to intercede for her. It was a tough battle! The enemy knew me well! God continued to encourage me now and then, that my (our) prayers were making a difference. The last vision He gave me, a few months before she died, was of a glass jar. Our decades' worth of prayers were all collected in that jar. God simply said, "I have all I need. Now watch me work!"

I can tell you, I slept well the night before she left us. I'd spent the night streaming Italian worship music, and I felt a sense of strong activity in the spiritual realm. The following morning, I felt a supernatural peace that she was with Jesus.  The battle was over. My long-term assignment was over. The enemy finally lost!

I'm sure there are many more stories relating to Cherry Blossoms. Each one unique. Each one personally encouraging. Each one strongly resonating with the same image of those beautiful flowers.

So, the lesson I've learned is, don't be afraid to share the same vision with different people. If God wants you to tell somebody something, trust HIM. He knows what will resonate, and He is not limited by our insecurities. Those Cherry Blossoms were healing to my soul. That doesn't mean they can't also bring healing to your soul. πŸ¦‹

Beside Still Waters

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the still waters, He refreshes my soul. Psalms 23:1‭-‬3 (Emphasis mine).

Have you ever noticed how difficult it is for modern society to "be still"? People are so busy with life, it feels like a challenge to take a break or rest. Sometimes we even skull our tea or coffee, instead of savouring it for a few minutes.

Have you also noticed how it's difficult for many Christians to stop and "be still" in God's presence? (Psalm 46:10). We all have our busy schedules, To-Do Lists, distractions and honestly, simple disobedience that compete for our attention. It's not that we don't want to... it's just much easier to give in to the distractions, isn't it?

I love watching water... It's so relaxing and refreshing. To hear the trickling stream, or waves lapping the shore. How many of us, in our busy days yearn for the quiet, despite not feeling able to find it?

Although I love watching the waves, I'm not a beach lover... Like Anakin Skywalker, "I don't like sand..." But send me to a river, or a fountain, and I'm in my happy place.

Most of the time I am not able to be near a physical river, but the river comes to me! Sometimes the river is in my car. I can sit quietly in God's presence, soaking in worship, preparing for the day ahead. Or my lounge, streaming music from my tv or device. There have been many times where this kind of river experience has been my biggest weapon. When it feels like the waves are crashing around me, threatening to overcome me, wherever I am becomes my still water. Sometimes music stills my heart, and gives me the strength to face the day. I'm certain, if I did not spend these quiet times at the river, I would have lost a good portion of my joy. However, I know without a doubt where my joy comes from, and there is an everlasting flow. It's free and available to anybody who asks.

Many of us are feeling the need for refreshment in this season. We've been in battles, good battles, but are now needing that rest that only comes from God. He wants to give us that rest. He wants to refresh us and prepare us for our next season. What I am currently learning, is rests are part of the Battle Plan. While we sit beside the water, we are not idle. There is such purpose in this kind of rest. The enemy may try to taunt us and tell us otherwise, but he is a liar and very afraid of what is beyond this season of rest and preparation!

I sense God challenging us all, "Will you sit with me beside the water?"

Bridges of Relationships

I'm sure many who are reading this have been feeling the effects of the transitional season we are in. Things are different. There is a sense of both loss and new beginnings. What I am personally experiencing, is a realignment, even shifting of relationships.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens... Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV).

I can't say it is necessarily a nice, or enjoyable experience, but in the big picture, I trust it is good.

I have been thinking about BRIDGES regarding relationships. People often say things like, "Build bridges, don't burn them", "Be careful not to burn that bridge!" or even, "How can we rebuild this bridge?"

Many bridges of communication or connection are burned through, among other things,  hurt, unforgiveness, misunderstandings, or simply dislike. It is so easy to burn a bridge, and much harder to rebuild, once burned. My constant prayer has been to maintain a clean, forgiving heart with no regrets.  My challenge is to actively maintain bridges of communication, even if the other party does not reciprocate. "Why?", you may ask... Because I don't want any regrets, or any hints of unforgiveness in my heart.

Although I actively choose to maintain bridges, there are some bridges in my heart that remain closed. I did not burn those bridges, nor did I close them. In order to protect my heart and help me heal from traumas, God placed a locked gate on my end of those bridges. I hold NO unforgiveness in my heart towards these people (the locked gates helped me work towards this), but God placed a lock on those gates, and I trust Him fully to maintain those gates. One day He may unlock the gates, but that is out of my hands. He holds the key. I have no intention of trying to unlock those gates myself.

Currently, I find myself in the middle of relationship changes. I don't know what caused the changes, but I do know the bridges are vulnerable. So, I have accepted that communication may possibly cease from the other end, but I have no intention of closing off my end of the bridge. Of course, this will involve continued forgiveness, and not treating others the way they treat me... but I've been travelling this mental/emotional path for some time now...so I guess I can say this bumpy path has only made me stronger and wiser. Of course it saddens me when communication breaks down, but sometimes it's best to let things go. So, I'm letting go. If I can't bring these relationships into my future, then I'm not going to waste my time and energy on something I have no control over.

Some bridges have an Expiry, or Best Before date. Personally, I feel some bridges have reached their Best Before date, so naturally they won't be as good as they originally were. The lesson here is, as Ecclesiastes says, "There is a time for everything". That sometimes you need to simply take a 'stocktake' of your life and keep moving forward. This may involve leaving things behind that can't, or won't travel with you into the future. And that's okay. We don't need to know what the future holds. Just what is our responsibility and what isn't. So I choose to keep moving. Accept my losses, forgive those who hurt me- intentionally and unintentionally - and keep walking forward, not looking back.

If you are reading this, it's likely our bridge is ok.

If you don't know me, my prayer is that my words encourage you.

If you are one of those who has hit my locked gates, I want you to know you are 100% forgiven. I won't open those gates, but if God ever does, I will be on the other side.

This is a new season. Time to let go of the old and embrace the new. To fix our eyes on what is good for our souls. To follow God's will for our lives, and not compare. We all have a purpose and calling. Let's embrace this, and cheer each other on!πŸ¦‹

Revival of Spiritual Gifts

This morning as I was praying for the church, I had a vision of santa's workshop. The elves were busy, working hard to make sure all the gifts were ready for the appointed time, Christmas day. I had the sense that there are many SPIRITUAL GIFTS that are currently being prepared for people to receive for the appointed time. Not Christmas. For Revival in the church.

Further to this, I saw many gifts that had already been given in the past, but were neglected, like a toy received at Christmas, but only enjoyed briefly before being forgotten. Some had been put on the shelf and forgotten about. Some had been ignored. Some had been misued or misunderstood. Some had even been abused by others, causing them to shut down. Some had simply not been recognised. The time is coming where life will be breathed back into these gifts.

There are many dreams yet to come to pass. We are entering a time of Revival of gifts, dreams and visions in the church. A time of Renewal and seeing many heart's desires finally fulfilled. Don't give up on your dreams and promises! Don't believe the lie that you are insignificant, or not good enough. Or even that your past makes you unworthy. The brightest diamonds don't just appear. They go through a refining process - many people can relate to being in the Refiner's fire - don't be afraid to be seen. It is time to wake up and SHINE!!

halloween...

Yes, the lower case "h" is deliberate ;-)

I really have no interest in halloween.
I made the decision to not acknowledge the topic in my work art program.

This week, after some leave days from work, I returned and was sprung with the news my programs the following day were cancelled, due to a special halloween party. For somebody who deliberately avoids this event, it had me feeling a little anxious. The building was decorated...and if I was a 'celebrator', I would say it was well done. But as a 'see-er' it did not sit well with me...

It put me in that uncomfortable position...where you don't want to participate, but you don't feel you have a good reason to refuse... in the sense you don't want to spoil other peoples' fun...

So what did I do? I prayed. And what happened? I was answered :-) I asked for a specific way to be excused from part of the celebrations. Instead of ME asking, THEY suggested! Only God. So, I had a reasonably good day. The people in my care were given the choice, and only one wanted to continue at the party. In the end, everybody was happy :-)

Never underestimate the power of prayer!
Even a simple, quietly whispered prayer can bring forth a miracle :)

Summary of the last 12-ish months :)

I was a balloon in a bunch of nice balloons, like in the movie, "Up", going up, up, up...til somebody put an anchor on the perceived journey. How frustrating it is to be stalled when you felt you were reaching for the stars ...but how liberating it is to be released from that anchor & placed in a new bunch of balloons, once again feeling like the sky is the limit!

Why Prayer Warriors are Struggling... Mark Sandford

http://www.elijahhouse.org/topical-articles/topics/why-prayer-warriors-are-struggling-and-a-word-of-encouragement/fp-em1186

I just read this article from Elijah House Ministries... I hope it encourages somebody.
We are in a season where we must not give up or give in! We are the front-line soldiers. We have purpose. We must keep going! :)

A new church... a Year of Newness

Wow...after a bit of time in the desert, still growing and staying alive... we have found a place to rest... a place where the dryness is being soaked in living water... and WOW!! This morning we were able to worship with Aaron & Becky Lucas, and hear Aaron speak. For the first time in a long time, I didn't want to go home...I wanted to stay at church, and I could have stayed all day in that worshipful environment... the spirit was free and was releasing freedom... it was a beautiful environment...no agendas, no tall poppies... just God.

So, now we have visited this new church 4 times, and we are feeling so at home...even though we hardly know anybody. Isn't it funny how that happens... you can feel lonely surrounded by people you know, or included among people you don't know. So, this season of rest is taking a turn. We're coming out of the slow lane, and preparing to merge into the lane calling our name.

This is such a new season... 2014 for me is "NEW". The year of New. I have even changed things about myself... I changed my hair and even tried some red foils...which I must admit I love ;) I've never had any colour touch my hair, so it was an exciting and nervous feat! I ordered some new glasses last week... even our time is experiencing newness... more time to spend on our marriage... things seem to be going forward and upward. I am soooo ready for this change! There are more 'new' things to come...some promises to come to pass...and things we don't even know of yet... I am "Big Kev" excited!

After this growing season in the desert, I say Bring on the New!!!! :D

T.D. Jakes

I had a day off today... I enjoyed staying home and getting into some de-cluttering...a daunting task for a girl who attracts organised chaos! But I am proud of myself for what I managed to get done :)

So, I sat down this morning with a cup of tea, and started listening to T.D. Jakes...from a link on my Facebook page. It was awesome...I found myself feeling quite sad when the message finished...I was hungry for More!

Often when my husband has a Rostered Day Off work, I come home from work to see him spending time with Mr Jakes. It's encouraging to see your loved one getting spiritually fed by somebody as deep as Mr Jakes. It encourages me to keep growing too :)

So today was my turn. It was soooo good... I ended up playing about 3 different messages (loud! lol!) while cleaning around the house. I really enjoyed being 'stuck' at home today. You can't STOP long enough to really get into these things when you've been working all day. Today my mind was fresh, and my spirit ready.

During this season I am currently in, T.D. Jakes and other ministers have been encouraging me and helping me push through...I often feel alone...but I have some wonderful people in my life who help me change that feeling. This morning, there was POWER in my house! It was just awesome!!!

Here are a few quotes I loved...

You always know God has an assignment for you when the enemy sends an assassin to destroy you.
God will use Rejection to give you Direction
God is going to take you to some place you've never been, to show you something you've never seen, so that you can do something you've never done!
No deviations, no discrepancies - just direction. That's what you want for this year of your life. Deviation: Don't sidetrack me! Discrepancy: Don't try to pull me down into confusion and chaos. I just want Direction for my life!

I just love T.D. Jakes... He brings joy to my spirit and life into my soul!
Hallelujah!!!!!!

Hunger for knowledge Pt 2

I finished the book! (and started more....I seriously have a pile of books, all started, none finished that I keep going back to! I counted about 10 the other day!!)

What a week this has been! The book I finished was "Escaping the Cauldron" by Kristine McGuire. What an interesting, down to earth read. Such a genuine, honest writer. I loved her chat-over-coffee style of writing.

Anyway, I won't go too deeply into that today - but if you have an interest, I would definitely recommend it!

This week has been awesome... I have had some time off work...which has gone way too fast, but I've had some catch ups with some amazing ladies who really encourage me. They are the gems in my life. My mentors, my encouragers, my sisters... Yesterday I felt like I made an investment of time.
I hardly spent any time at home, and I went from one shopping centre, to another, to catch up with 2 friends.

Sometimes you just need that. The people who make you feel you've made an investment. They don't drain you. They encourage you. They drop gems into your heart. They fertilise your seeds and water the seedlings...and make sure there are no weeds in the garden... if that makes sense! They encourage you to sow more seeds...to keep watering the garden and make sure the soil is right.

I don't know if this makes any sense to you, but I am a visual thinker. I love thinking in pictures. Sometimes when I can't think of the words, I can see the picture.

There are many wonderful people in my life. If you are reading this, and I know you personally, consider yourself in this group :)

Elijah Generation

I'd like to share something I read on Facebook...quoted from John Filler via the Elijah House USA page,

It came from my good friend Kerry Knorr. I just had to agree. For those of you who are in their 30's, especially those we know and love, please hear our hearts and see the big picture without you.TUESDAY'S POST:The Elijah Generation was foretold in the early 70's, were born in the late 70's and are in their 30's now. A whole bunch of them are hiding in Obadiah's cave (1Ki.18) eating scraps from Ahab's table. Guys! Go get a testosterone shot if you need to - but build an alter! Make a place in your life for fire from heaven! The god who answers by fire - he is God.
I don't believe I've been in Obadiah's cave, but I sure know I am part of this Elijah Generation!
I almost just scraped in, but I have no doubt of my calling. I have been feeling this stirring for some time...and I have been encouraged to do something about it. Even been encouraged to speak to people who recognise my gifts who will build me up when I need it. I've been drawn to, led to people who have encouraged me greatly in the simplest ways.

One amazing thing is that others who are not in close proximity to me have been recognising my gifts and trying to encourage me to use them in greater ways. I am grateful for these people. Sometimes I feel their suggestions are great, but the timing is wrong... but the fact they are seeing areas where I can be used and wanting me to be there with them....that is so encouraging.
In a sense, it's like God is using 'outside' people to tell me that HE is listening. HE sees my life and what is going on around me... and he continues to remind me that yes, I was created for greater things. I still don't know WHAT or HOW or even WHERE....I just know there is SOMETHING. So I am encouraged to just continue on the journey, and listen to him. I have always known I was born with purpose. I'm just waiting for him to show me more... bring on the fire from heaven!

Pink Elephants

Lord, I pray you reveal the pink elephants before they destroy the room...

The darkness can't hide...

So sad... seeing people who were once at or near the top of the mountain, slowly falling back....down, down, down.... they don't see the darkness for what it is... it's like confectionery...with a bitter aftertaste... but they are too focused on the sweetness they choose to forget the bitterness...

I just can't understand how people who have been in the hands of God can simply let him go... but that's free will... and it's their choice... but the fact I am aware of this...keeps me in the watchtower... it's getting quite busy in that place...but that's no surprise considering what else is going on around me and inside me.

What a year already! I know it will be a good one :) & I hope to be able to tell the stories of results of activity in the watchtower :)

What stirs me...

Sometimes I have so much burning inside me...but I can't share it because what stirs me up and gets me excited....is the stuff that freaks many people out... so I sometimes feel alone...but I know that's part of my gifting... to see beyond the normal... to be considered a freak... to be misunderstood... but what God has given me... I am extremely grateful for. I wouldn't change anything. Sometimes it does feel like a burden, but overall, I know He has trusted me with these gifts.

I am not content with the surface...I need to go beyond... I am bored by the surface stuff. I know it's important, but I just can't stand being there when I know there is so much more below the surface... that is where I love to be!

Warriors, Ready!

This has been an interesting week... my watch tower has been active, but not as much as it could have been...then something seemed to suddenly change. The timing seems bitter sweet...

This week, things have really begun to stir near my watch tower. There is a lot going on below...some of it excites me, some concerns me...but I know it's all good. The General is about to call all standing in watchtowers to get ready for some BIG things. The time to watch and wait is coming to an end. The time to stand up and fight is fast approaching...big things are coming... something big is stirring... it's exciting, but reality sets in and says, "Be ready to be uncomfortable".

As much as we did not desire the milk or even thickshakes...as much as we yearned for the steak... it is now time to completely skip the milk and go straight to the steak. In the past the steak was not always easy to access...we are surrounded by people who need the milk...to grab a steak was to eat alone... this will continue, but we need to spend more time eating alone in order to be more effective... we need to be ready for battle. We need to keep our armour on us day and night...because the call to war...can come any time...and there are many wars waging... we are chosen warriors. We are called to fight different wars...sometimes we fight the same wars...but there are so many, that in our own area, we are called to the wars waging near our watch towers.

This is already feeling like a big year...something is awakening from it's slumber... we need to be on guard :)

Standing in the Watch Tower

There are those of us called to duty in the Watch Tower - their calling is to stand alert in the towers overlooking the city... to protect and intercede for what they see below.

Sometimes this can be a place of heartbreak. It can be a place of joy.
It is hard when they see the lives being lived out below that could be so much better....or those who are falling into a pit, or those who have turned from the good path and are following the path to destruction...

The frustrating part is that those in the watch tower cannot really do anything. They often wish they could walk down to the person on the wrong path and warn them of what continuing on that path could do... but instead, they remember their calling. Their special calling from God.

The watch tower is a place where big things happen. God is there. Instead of allowing those in the towers to walk to the people below, he gives them the skills to intercede for them. They watch silently and pray hard. Most people will never see what happens in these towers, but My Oh My! They see the results - even if they don't know it!

Being in the watch tower can be lonely, but there are many towers in many locations, all skilfully positioned by the creator himself :) Those placed in these towers consider it a privilege. Their calling may come at a cost, but it far outweighs the results :)
